National Feedstuffs Market Review

The USDA Market News Service reports fed ingredient prices for the week ending 
September 10, 2019 were mixed. Soybean Meal was mixed, 1.10 lower to 10 higher, 
mostly 3.90 higher. Cottonseed Meal was steady to 15.00 lower, mostly steady. Whole 
Cottonseed was steady to 5.00 lower.  Canola Meal was mixed, 29.00 lower to 5.00 
higher. Linseed Meal was 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Sunflower Meal was mixed 10.00 lower 
to 5.00 higher. Crude Soybean Oil was 52 to 59 points lower. Corn Oil was steady. 
Ruminant Meat and Bone Meal was steady to 60.00 higher, mostly steady. Ruminant Blood 
Meal was steady. Feather Meal was steady. Yellow Corn Hominy was steady to 13.00 
lower, mostly steady. Corn Gluten Feed was mixed, 10.00 lower to 5.00 higher, mostly 
steady. Corn Gluten Meal was steady. Distillers Dried Grain was mixed, 10.00 lower to 
5.00 higher, mostly steady. Wheat Millfeeds were steady to 10.00 higher.  Wheat 
Millrun were steady to 3.00 higher.

Oilseeds: The September Soybean Meal futures closed 4.90 higher at 292.90, October 
closed 3.90 higher at 294.30 and December closed 4.00 higher at 298.10. The September 
Soybean Oil futures closed 49 points lower at 28.38 centers per pound, the October 
Soybean Oil futures closed 59 points lower at 28.35 cents per pound and December 
closed 56 points lower at 28.53 cents per pound. The Rail delivery of high protein 
Soybean Meal in Central Illinois was 5.30 to 6.30 higher from 289.30.00-304.30; 
Indiana-Ohio was 3.90 higher from 2.82.30-299.30; Iowa was mixed, 1.10 lower to 3.90 
higher from 269.30-281.30; Kansas City was mixed, 1.10 lower to 3.90 higher from 
282.30-292.30; Minneapolis was 3.90 to 5.90 higher  269.30, St. Louis was 1.00 lower 
from 306.00-311.00; Memphis ranged from 294.30-315.30; Portland was 3.90 to 10.00 
higher from 326.30-345.00; BN Santa Fe/Union Pacific delivered Chino Valley was 
mixed, 70 cents lower to 2.90 higher from 327.30-336.30. Cottonseed Meal FOB the 
Central San Joaquin Valley in California was steady to 15.00 lower from 258.00-
270.00; Kansas City was steady from 275.00-285.00; St. Louis was steady at 280.00; 
Memphis ranged from 215.00-220.00. Whole Cottonseed FOB the Central San Joaquin 
Valley in California was steady to 5.00 lower from 350.00-365.00; delivered to 
Portland was steady from 335.00-395.00; Memphis was at 270.00. Offers for nearby 
delivered Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent protein, delivered to Portland was 3.90 to 
5.00 higher from 244.30-260.00; FOB Central San Joaquin Valley truck was 20.00 to 
29.00 lower from 260.00-275.00; Minneapolis was 3.90 higher from 204.30-224.30. 
Linseed Meal in North Dakota-Minnesota was 5.00 to 10.00 higher from 220.00-250.00. 
Sunflower Meal in North Dakota-Minnesota was mixed, 10.00 lower to 5.00 higher 
135.00-145.00. The Soybean Oil in Central Illinois was 52 points lower from 27.85-
28.35 cents per pound; Indiana-Ohio was 59 points lower from 27.85-30.35 cents per 
pound; Iowa was 49 to 52 points lower from 27.88-29.60 cents per pound; Minnesota was 
52 to 59 points lower from 28.35-29.60 cents per pound. Crude Corn Oil in Central 
Illinois was steady at 27.40 cents per pound.

ANIMAL PROTEINS: Ruminant Meat and Bone Meal in the Central U.S. was 5.00 to 60.00 
higher at 265.00; FOB the Texas Panhandle had no quote; Minneapolis was steady to 
5.00 higher from 200.00-230.00; Kansas City was steady 5.00 to 60.00 higher at 
265.00; St. Louis was not available; Portland FOB Northwest Plants was steady to from 
175.00-215.00; FOB Central and Northern California was steady from 200.00-210.00; FOB 
Los Angeles was steady from 200.00-210.00. Pork Meat and Bone Meal in the Central 
U.S. had no quote; Eastern Corn Belt had no quote; Minneapolis was steady from 
240.00-255.00; St. Louis was not available. Ruminant Blood Meal in the Central U.S. 
was steady at 650.00; the Texas Panhandle had no quote; Minneapolis was steady to 
25.00 higher from 575.00-675.00; delivered to the San Joaquin Valley was steady at 
725.00. Pork Blood Meal in the Central U.S. had no quote; Eastern Corn Belt had no 
quote; Minneapolis was steady from 670.00-725.00. Feather Meal in Kansas City was 
steady from 335.00-350.00; Minneapolis was steady from 325.00-400.00; Arkansas was 
steady from 330.00-340.00; Mississippi was steady from 325.00-330.00. 

CORN FEEDS: Yellow Corn Hominy in Central Illinois was steady at 102.00 for rail, 
truck was steady at 108.00; Kansas City (Northwest) was not available; St. Louis was 
not available; California rail was not available, truck was 5.00 to 13.00 lower from 
185.00-190.00. Corn Gluten Feed in the Midwest (NE,IA,IL, IN) was steady to 10.00 
lower from 80.00-100.00; Kansas City was steady to 2.00 higher from 180.00-182.00; 
St. Louis was steady from 170.00-175.00, California was mixed, 5.00 lower to 5.00 
higher at 200.00. Corn Gluten Meal, 60 percent protein in the Midwest (IA, IL, IN) 
was steady from 340.00-380.00; Kansas City was not available; St. Louis was steady at 
430.00. Distillers Dried Grain prices in Iowa was 4.00 to 5.00 higher from 115.00-
140.00; Eastern Cornbelt (IL, IN, OH, MI) was steady to 10.00 lower from 115.00-
157.00; Kansas was steady to 5.00 higher from 130.00-170.00; Minnesota was steady 
from 120.00-130.00; Nebraska was steady from 125.00-150.00; Wisconsin was steady to 
3.00 higher from 125.00-140.00; South Dakota was 15 cents to 3.00 higher from 120.15-
135.00; Missouri was 5.00 lower from 140.00-145.00; St. Louis was not available; 
California had limited trade at 197.00; Pacific Northwest mills were steady to 3.00 
higher from 193.00-194.00.

WHEAT MILLFEEDS: Wheat Millfeeds in Buffalo, NY was steady at 85.00; Kansas City was 
steady to 9.00 higher from 72.00-85.00; Minneapolis were steady from 90.00-105.00; 
St. Louis was steady to 10.00 higher from 90.00-110.00. Wheat Millrun delivered 
Portland was 3.00 higher at 185.00; FOB Los Angeles mill was steady from 130.00-
170.00.

OTHERS: In the south Rice Bran was mostly steady, Millfeed and Rice Hulls were steady. In 
California, Rice Bran prices and Rice hulls were steady. Alfalfa Meal prices were steady 
across the nation this past week.
